Dieting And Partying How To Control The Urge To Eat More

Introduction And Background

In this age and time, dieting is extremely hard, especially if you’re at an age where your friends go out a lot and you cannot skip out on the party scene. Dieting takes a lot of determination and will power. It really isn’t easy seeing everyone else eat freely and knowing that you cannot let yourself eat like that because you are dieting. But there are ways of controlling those urges and maintaining a balance at dieting and partying.

How To Control Those Urges?

The most difficult part of dieting is to endure. Most of the time you have to endure those urges, endure the irritation you’re feeling, endure the hunger pangs that come about and endure the extra exercise you have to do. But they can be controlled. Better yet, there are things you can do without leaving the partying that would not make you leave the path of dieting in a weak moment.
• Do not be afraid to tell people you’re dieting. Many people have developed this fear of not letting people know about their diet, afraid of being teased or joked about. This should go away. Stop caring what other people think and you’ll only make it harder on yourself and your social life if you keep it a secret. Just tell you friends if you don’t want to tell the entire world. They might tease but it is all good. In the end, you’ll be the one with the thin body and the teasing would all be gone.
• Try selecting something grilled or protein related from the menu. Do not say no to going out just because you think there will be food that might ruin your diet. Instead of becoming a hermit, be smart. Select something healthy and nutritious and these sorts of items are mostly always present on the menu. Their quantity will be as much as what your friends are eating and you won’t feel left out. An uncle of mine was dieting but he never stayed at home while his friends were going out. Instead, he either used to have something from the menu or he used to take a bag of popcorn with him, never ashamed of what he was doing. Now, he’s thinner and smart looking than most of his friends.
• Do not feel guilty or ashamed. Be proud of what you’re doing. It is mighty difficult for obese people to control the urges to eat or to find alternatives that aren’t really what you want for those urges. So if you’re doing it, do not be sad about it. Do not be ashamed about it.

Partying Cannot Ruin Your Dieting

This concept has got to go. I’ve been stressing in this entire article that dieting will not be ruined by partying if you do things the smart way. Do not start staying at home while your friends are going out. It will only make you more annoyed, more angry and you’ll probably end up leaving your diet before doing anything else. Think of it this way, partying takes away a lot of your energy so you might as well go to burn those calories. But do not let yourself get away with the food. This is important. Follow the instructions given above to control those urges and you’ll be fine.
Benefits Of Having A Social Life While Dieting
• You do not get depressed or sad because you feel left out on everything that is happening.
• With understanding friends in your life, you might actually feel a lot easier and happier about your diet than when you are doing it completely alone.
• With so much to do, at times the hunger pangs will be hard to notice while having fun with your friends.
The Quick Way Of Losing Weight
Obese people are always looking for a quick solution. It is pretty difficult for them to undergo the process of staying away from food for so long, especially if they love it so much in the first place. Now there is an answer to their prayers in the form of the appetite suppressing pills. Everyone must have heard about them because these pills are fast gaining publicity as the diet of the twenty first century. Most of such pills are considered capable of making the metabolism level of the body higher than before which means more fat is burned in a lesser time. People are known to lose at least three to four kilograms in a week while on this diet!

Conclusion

Don’t be too hard on yourself just because you are dieting. Live your normal life and go out as often as you did before. Just work smartly around the eating part and you’ll be just fine.
